MVA began with a simple observation: most people were struggling with technology that was supposed to make their lives easier. Security systems were too complicated to use, automation didn't work reliably, and tech support rarely spoke in plain English.

Our founder, Chris McFarlane, had been fascinated by technology since childhood, playing with his first circuit board at age six. But as he worked in the tech industry throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he noticed a growing disconnect between the people who created technology and those who used it.

In 2010, Chris began focusing on custom audio/video installations, where he could work directly with clients to create systems that truly met their needs. By 2016, he had expanded into comprehensive security and automation solutions, founding MVA with a clear mission: to provide technology that makes sense for real people.
